Kink in my Neck to blame

I have neglected the blog again. I blame it on a number of factors:
1. Poor husband worked this weekend. Good money, but very tired mommy and daddy. Thank goodness for three day weekend coming up!
2. Another head cold! Very minor this time but still annoying and snuffly. Lost my taste buds for only one day though.
3. A very weird neck problem. I woke up four days ago with a stiffness and thought I must have slept on it funny. It was much worse the next day, and I couldn't turn my head or barely move it. My neighbor came to the rescue and did some awesome massage therapy on it and I dug out the Motrin. It seems to be slowly getting better. She told me I have a big knot on some ligament or muscle or something that goes into my neck. Hmm, I wonder if that is from the stress or carrying the baby on that side all the time?
4. Preoccupied with getting things done. Sadly, I cannot say that posting on my blog is very productive. I do have initial word that our homestudy is complete, so that's totally awesome! Still, I will not be calm until I have it in my hands.

The EE Swap and Shop that was supposed has been postponed. Here's that announcement: Due to a variety of issues that have cropped up this week, we are sorry to announce that the Swap and Shop curriculum sale scheduled for May 15th at EE must be postponed until mid or late June. We will send out an additional announcement about the Swap & Shop (which will be combined with a huge garage sale and held at EE's new campus) when the new date is finalized. We are sorry if this delay has caused you any frustration and hope to see you in June. We will still have tons of curriculum for K-12 at that time! Sounds good for the procrastinators ;)

Also, the BIG used book sale for SETHSA will be on June 5 from 9-11:30am at Reliant Stadium. Here's the details: http://www.sethsa.org/usedbksale.htm
Probably worth it if you don't mind dealing with downtown, paid parking, etc.

Adoption Fund Progress Report for April

Well, it's been a slower month for making money. Sweet husband of mine had less overtime this month and even ended up doing jury duty for a week, so that took away a little potential revenue. Don't feel too sorry though. Jury Duty was actually a little bit of vacation for him. Easier drive, shorter hours, free soda and snacks, and sitting in a comfy chair all day - he was pretty happy about it.

I made about $100 on Ebay in April, but I finally got to list some of my big ticket items this week. In fact, I am super happy because my vintage Little People Action Garage just went for $100 tonight! Woo hoo. Yee haw. Isn't that awesome? Although, technically I am counting that towards the month of May.

We now have 43% of the total. We are in the midst of our homestudy and paperwork, so I apologize if I don't post often. Hopefully, our savings will get a big boost in May, once the government sends us that economy booster rebate. (Please, you think I'm actually going to spend that rebate check on electronics and clothes?)
